Dr Schneider manufactures auto components
Plastics auto components producer Dr Schneider Kunststoffwerke has reported significant growth for the sixth consecutive year in 2015.
The group, based in Kronach-Neuses, Germany, achieved annual sales up by 12.3% at €490m against the previous 12 months figure for 2014.
Its strategy of continuous growth was confirmed as it announced the results with its fourth project groundbreaking ceremony in two years taking place at its headquarters site.
Shareholders and senior executives of the privately run parts moulder were on hand on 12 May to launch the latest investment scheme which involves construction of a management and project centre at Kronach-Neuses.
Dr Schneider is investing around €8m in the new centre comprising 4,300m2 of modern offices and meeting rooms for up to 280 personnel from the group’s management, sales and marketing and business units. The centre is due for completion in summer 2017.
Work on constructing a new R&D centre at the main Dr Schneider site was undertaken from last year and the resulting building is due later this month.
Capital investment in expansion at its sites is scheduled to reach around €54m during 2016, according to the company.
Dr Schneider specialises in making quality plastics automotive components for areas such as the ventilation system, interior trim and modules for the instrument panel and central console.
The Bavarian group, with three plants in Germany and more in China, Poland, Spain and the USA, employs 3,600, around 1,300 of the employees at its Kronach-Neuses base. The other German sites are at Judenbach and Tschirn.
In 2014, Dr Schneider consolidated the work of its two Polish operations at one of the sites in Radomierz.
